she stood there waiting
a lil voice in her heart whispered
he would come
but her mind told her otherwise..
reminded her of the pain inflicted and lies
an empty feeling gradually crept
upon her crushed heart which silently wept
the golden memories seemed only distant now
the unfulfilled promises and wows
depressed her even more
as the melancholy in the air grew..
she stood there thinking
what had gone wrong?
her heart wondered
if there was still some hope
